Our band students were absolutely fantastic yesterday! They represented themselves, our school, and our community incredibly well.

We are proud to share that this is the first time a Tichenor Concert Band has received a Distinguished Rating at KMEA Concert Assessment! What an amazing accomplishment!

Their hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice truly paid off. We are so proud of our students and thankful for the leadership that helped guide them to this milestone.

Our Tichenor 8th graders had a great day at JA Inspire at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center! 🚀 Students explored future career paths while connecting with more than 50 employers and organizations. Experiences like this help our Trojans start thinking about the many opportunities ahead. Yesterday we had some fun with Twin Day as part of World Kindness Week! 👯 Students and staff dressed as twins to remind us of an important message: everyone deserves to feel included. Kindness means looking around, noticing who might be standing alone, and making sure they feel like they belong. At TMS, we’re proud of our Trojans for showing that sometimes the smallest acts—an invitation, a smile, or simply sitting with someone new—can make a big difference. Huge shoutout to the Lloyd JV and Varsity Winterguard teams for an outstanding performance at the Tri-State Marching Arts Contest at Campbell County High School! Both teams brought the energy and talent—earning 3rd place in their respective classes! What an accomplishment! We are especially proud of our Tichenor students who are part of these teams. Your hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice are paying off. You represent your schools and community so well! Tichenor parents — the Scholastic Book Fair is happening next week! Our goal is to provide a FREE book to every student who would like one, but we are still short of our goal. If you or someone you know would be willing to donate, please consider supporting our Share the Fair campaign. 💙

Today we celebrated our February High Attendance Day and our students showed up and showed out! 👏🎉 To make the day extra special, students got to test out a brand-new cafeteria offering… strawberry smoothies! 🍓🥤 And let’s just say—they were a hit! There’s nothing better than seeing smiling faces walking the halls with a delicious treat in hand. We are so proud of our students for making attendance a priority. Every day matters, and today was a sweet reminder that being at school pays off in more ways than one! Way to go, everyone! 💙✨

Girls on the Run sign ups start TODAY and end on Thursday February 26. This is open to all 6-8th grade TMS girls. Practices are Monday AND Wednesdays from 3-415 starting March 9 through May 9. This program is FREE & paid for by the youth service centers. Interested girls need to turn in the sign up packet (available in the front office or Mrs. Masons office) to Mrs. Mason by 2/26. Today we celebrate National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day — and we truly have one of the very best! 💙🚔 Officer Pohlman goes above and beyond every single day for our students and staff at TMS. He’s more than just our School Resource Officer — he’s a mentor, a role model, a steady presence in the hallways, and someone our kids know they can count on. We are so thankful for the way he builds relationships, keeps our school safe, and supports our Trojans with a smile. TMS is stronger and safer because of you, Officer Pohlman. We appreciate you more than you know! 💙
